Life and art
I am an artist deeply passionate about exploring various mediums, including ink, pastels, watercolor, and oils. My creative journey involves experimenting with materials like wax, sand, paint, and gesso, allowing my landscapes to transform into nudes and still-life compositions into portraits.
Born a while ago, I came into this world well after the madness of global wars and before the explosion of technology. There was a brief pause in time when the earth’s population stood still and breathed, followed by pivotal moments like Cuba, Vietnam, Sea Cottage, and a man on the moon. In fact, just after Bill Haley named his comets, I remember my entrance into life.
I am fascinated by the human desire to make sense of art, even as I find myself liberated in my own quest to paint without limitations. Losing myself in time, space, and the scent of turpentine is where my true joy lies. Often, I am filled with awe the day after completing a painting, peeking around the corner to catch a glimpse of my work in the early morning light, in disbelief that I created it.
